About the University

The University of Birmingham is located in Birmingham, England. It was founded in 1825 as the Birmingham School of Medicine and Surgery and became a university in 1900. Today, it is one of the largest universities in the UK, with a student population of over 38,000 and a strong reputation for research, innovation, and teaching excellence. The University of Birmingham is home to a wide range of academic departments, including arts and humanities, social sciences, engineering and physical sciences, medical and dental sciences, and law.
